ACTIVATE is a compute control plane. Teams use it to provision, manage, and share compute resources across on-premises and cloud environments, through a web interface, a CLI, and an API. It works with Kubernetes and OpenStack and covers the functions of open source HPC portals.
What ACTIVATE adds
- Kubernetes: one UI, API, and CLI over connected clusters; a namespace per group with GPU, CPU, and memory quotas; workload and Helm release management; usage tracking and cost per namespace.
- OpenStack: hybrid control, user access, and usage tracking; cluster deployment with batch schedulers or direct VMs; multi-tenant cluster sharing; cost tracking and billable resource tagging.
- Open source HPC portals: one portal for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid compute; one-click Jupyter, RStudio, remote desktops, and VS Code; cost tracking, budgets, and usage analytics; application support and maintenance by Parallel Works.
