HPC Infrastructure Automation Engineer

This position involves development and enhancement of the Parallel Works platform, which runs on all three leading public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. You’ll be responsible for developing automations which extend the existing platform and its cluster deployment processes. You will interact with HPC job schedulers, cloud APIs, workflow management frameworks, and container systems to create responsive, reliable and easy-to-use deployments of cloud clusters.

We are very interested in hearing from individuals with experience architecting high performance computing clusters, parallel file systems, high throughput networking, and GPU clusters.

Required Experience

BSci in Computer Science or related field.

5+ years of programming experience.

3+ years of automation experience using Terraform, Ansible, and Linux shell and Python scripting

Architecting high performance computing clusters - on cloud and/or on premises

Experience deploying parallel file systems (Lustre, BeeGFS/BeeOND, GPFS)

Deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes, Docker and Singularity

Thorough knowledge of the Linux operating system and services.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud resources and design patterns in AWS, GCP, and Azure

Familiarity with command-line shell interpreters and scripting techniques

Familiarity with HPC schedulers such as PBS and Slurm.

Network service programming including tunneling and port forwarding.

Git revision control, branching and merging techniques using GitHub.

Desired Experience

Advanced degree (MSci or PhD) in Computer Science

Experience programming in TypeScript, Python, or Golang

Experience automating on-premise deployments

Experience with parallel profiling and debugging

Database experience with SQL and JSON/NoSQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL and MongoDB

High speed data movement and parallel IO tools and techniques

Experience with automated testing and CI/CD processes, e.g. GitHub actions

HPC Support Engineer

This position involves supporting users on the Parallel Works platform, which runs on all three leading public clouds: AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. You’ll be responsible for supporting the existing platform and its cluster deployment processes. You will become an expert in interacting with HPC job schedulers, cloud APIs, workflow management frameworks, and container systems to create and support responsive, reliable and easy-to-use deployments of cloud clusters.

Required Experience

BSci in Computer Science or related field or 2+ years experience in tech support role

2+ years of Linux shell and Python scripting

Thorough knowledge of the Linux operating system and services.

Network service programming including tunneling and port forwarding.

Marketing and Sales Executive

Parallel Works is looking to hire an experienced marketing and sales executive to help drive company branding, name recognition, and sales. In this role, you will be involved in product/market fit analysis, developing marketing strategies, implementing marketing plans, developing sales strategies, generating new customer leads, engaging customers, managing relationships, and closing sales of the Parallel Works platform and services.
The successful Parallel Works Marketing and Sales Executive, will have strong knowledge of modern marketing techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the Parallel Works mission to accelerate research and innovation with computing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Proven work experience as a Marketing and Sales Executive.

Knowledge of modern marketing techniques and the HPC technology landscape.

High-level communication and networking skills.

Experience using media and social media strategies.

A passion for sales.

Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.

Good project management skills.
