# Configuring Oracle File Storage

The configuration parameters on this page are exclusive to Oracle File Storage.

Oracle File Storage grows and shrinks automatically as you add and remove data, so you don't choose a size when you configure it.

#### Region

Use this dropdown menu to select the region where your storage will be created. A region represents a geographic area.

#### Availability Domain

Use this dropdown menu to select the availability domain to create the filesystem in. An availability domain is an isolated data center inside a region.

We recommend that your storage availability domain matches the availability domain of the cluster you're pairing the storage with.
