## pw workspace restart

Restart a user workspace

### Synopsis

The **pw workspace restart** command kills and recreates a user workspace.
Restarting cancels the workspace owner's running workflows and rotates the
workspace API key, so it asks for confirmation; skip that with **--force**.

Pass **--user** to restart another user's workspace, which requires org
admin access in their organization. Restarting a workspace that is off
simply starts it.

pw workspace restart [flags]
```

### Examples

```
  # Restart your workspace
  pw workspace restart
  
  # Skip confirmation and wait until it is running again
  pw workspace restart -f --wait
  
  # Restart another user's workspace as an org admin
  pw workspace restart -f --user alice
```

### Options

```
  -f, --force              Skip confirmation prompt
      --force-kill         Kill the workspace instead of stopping it gracefully
  -h, --help               help for restart
      --org string         Target organization (defaults to current context)
      --timeout duration   Give up waiting after this long (with --wait); 0 waits indefinitely (default 10m0s)
      --user string        Restart another user's workspace (defaults to yourself)
      --wait               Wait for the workspace to be running before exiting
```

### Options inherited from parent commands

```
      --context string         The context to use. Overrides PW_CONTEXT environment variable and current context from config.
      --platform-host string   The Parallel Works ACTIVATE platform host to use. Overrides PW_PLATFORM_HOST environment variable and the current context's server.
  -v, --verbose                Enable verbose logging
```
