## pw cluster destroy

Tear down a cloud cluster's resources, keeping its definition

### Synopsis

The **pw cluster destroy** command deletes every cloud resource of a cluster's
current deployment: controller, compute nodes, disks and networking. The
cluster's definition stays, so **pw cluster start** can provision it again
from scratch. This is also the way out of a cluster stuck in a failed state.

To stop the controller while keeping its disks, use **pw cluster stop**. To
remove the cluster record itself, use **pw cluster delete** once it is off.

The command asks for confirmation unless **--yes** is passed. On a terminal it
then opens the live view until the resources are gone; pass **-o text** to
return as soon as the request is accepted, or **--wait** to block and print
one line per step instead.

```
pw cluster destroy <cluster> [flags]
```

### Examples

```
  # Destroy a cluster (asks for confirmation)
  pw cluster destroy my-hpc
  # Destroy without confirmation, from a script, blocking until done
  pw cluster destroy --yes --wait my-hpc
```

### Options

```
  -h, --help            help for destroy
  -o, --output string   Output format (interactive, text, json) (default "interactive")
      --wait            Wait for the resources to be deleted, printing progress, before exiting
      --yes             Skip the confirmation prompt
```

### Options inherited from parent commands

```
      --context string         The context to use. Overrides PW_CONTEXT environment variable and current context from config.
      --platform-host string   The Parallel Works ACTIVATE platform host to use. Overrides PW_PLATFORM_HOST environment variable and the current context's server.
  -v, --verbose                Enable verbose logging
```
